The Dalai Lama experienced a lot in his life. Ihamo Thondup was born in Tibet in 1935. At age two his parents believed he was the reincarnation of another great spiritual leader. When he was four years old he was raised as His holiness the fourteenth Dalai Lama and taught by the best Buddhist monks to become the Tibetan leader. When he is twenty four he was forced to flee his country because of the worst violent Chinese occupation in 1959. For over forty years he lived in exile in the Himalayan town of Dharamsala India but he remains the capable spiritual and political leader of Tibet.
