Terry Fox is a person who raised money for people that had cancer. Terry Fox was born in Winnipeg Manitoba in 1958 and moved to Port Coquitlam. When Terry was 18 years old he found out he had bone cancer and they amputated his leg. Terry wanted to raise money for cancer research. His goal was to raise 1 dollar form everyone in Canada. He raised money by running across Canada. On April 12 1980, Terry began to run. He started near St John’s Newfoundland. Terry began to feel sick outside of Thunder Bay. Cancer had spread to his lungs, he had to stop running. Canadians were inspired by what Terry had done .They decided to carry on. People continued to raise money in Terry’s name. By February 1981 $24.17 million was raised. Terry’s goal had been reached but on June 28 1981 Terry died. On September 13 1981, The first Terry Fox run had over 300.300 Canadians running raised another $3.5 million. Every September Terry Fox run raise money for cancer. Even thought Terry died, he still raises money for people who have cancer.

My summer was fun but sometimes boring. The fun part in my summer was going to Canada’s Wonderland. I went up on the roller coaster and it was scary. I also went on water slides and it was fun and scary. I ate BBQ chicken. It was delicious. I went to watch Despicable me 2 and Smurfs 2 with my sister. We also went to shopping and I got some new clothing. The boring part of my summer was that someday I had nothing to do. I had summer school in July. The also days were hot. It was like 33 degress. This is what my summer with fun and boring.
