One of most important parts of the story is when the company and  the government did not invite the Chinese workers to the celebration.  When the Chinese workers were done building the railroad, then the government did not invite them. They did not invite the Chinese because  they didn’t care about the Chinese workers.  Shek and Wong were feeling great about themselves because they knew who built the railroad so it didn’t matter to them that they were not invited.  One of most important parts of the story is when the company and the government did not invite the Chinese workers to the celebration.
