I had a great weekend because I went to my friend’s house for two days. I had a sleepover at his house. We played games like runescape, ps2, monopoly, etc. After we went to his back yard and played soccer. When we finished playing soccer game. Then we watched television, we watched Futerama. The next day my friend’s mom took us to eat MacDonalds. We ate fries, Big Mac and drank coke. After eating lunch we went to my friend’s house to go on the computer and played runescape again. We played for 2 hours. We saw a movie all together called Indiana Jones. I went home around 7 pm. When I got home I did a lot of homework.

On Monday October 20^th 2008 some of the girls went to a baseball tournament a local park. We got there around 8:45a.m, and we were a little lost getting there but we got there on time.  We played 3 games that day.  The first game was at 9:40a.m and the first game we lost  6 to 10. Before we played the second game, we had lunch and we also had time to practice with our team a while. this wasn’t a good idea because while we practiced most of the girls got hurt, like me.  I got hit by a bat on my leg and my chin and a ball hit me on my other leg. And it hurt a lot especially my chin . . .by my own team! We won the second game 11 to 4 and we went on to the finals.  At the final game we lost very badly because the other team hit the ball very far from the field. We lost 5 to 15 points!!! Then we went back to school on the bus.   While we were waiting for the bus to come we went and saw a skate board park. When we got back to school at 4:30p.m, we saw the boys baseball team practicing for their baseball tournament the next day and we told a little white lie to them that we won two games not just one. Then all of us went home and some of them went to take a nap. That day I will never forget.

I like to have fun because without fun life would be so boring. Going out is fun.  Going on vacation and taking an airplane and celebrating Christmas is fun. I also call going downtown fun.  I even think going to my mom’s work is fun. going shopping at the Eaton Centre and taking the subway is all fun. Going to CNE, going on sleepovers, school field trips are all fun. Sometimes on the weekend I like to go shopping at Square One. I like going to Mississauga. I like staying in hotels because they’re also fun. I hope you enjoyed my blog.

Terry Fox was just an ordinary person, but Terry Fox was inspired to run across Canada.  When Terry Fox was just 18, he found out that he had cancer.  When he went to the hospital he saw lots of people including children who had cancer. So Terry Fox started his marathon by dipping his leg in the Atlantic Ocean. Terry Fox also planned to dip his leg in the Pacific Ocean proving that he has ran across Canada and raised money. During his run he met all sorts of Canadians such as politicians and famous athletes. Terry Fox got a little attention when he first began the run, but as he got far the more attention he has gotten. When Terry Fox ran to Thunder Bay his cancer started to spread and was forced to go home, But Terry Fox died after. Canadians now every year do a Terry Fox walk or run to honour Terry Fox, Canadians also raise money for cancer research. This is what happened and how Terry Fox did his marathon.
