5 Senses

Losing one of your 5 senses would be a very bad thing.  If I had to lose one of my senses I would lose my sense of taste. I want to lose my sense of taste more than anything else because for me it’s the least important to me and I can live without it. Losing my sense of taste would mean not tasting my favorite food but I would not have to taste nasty medicines. I chose this sense to lose because losing sense of smell would also mean losing sense of taste, and I would lose two senses at once. Losing my sense of sight or hearing would mean not getting to see nature and other beautiful things and not getting to hear the beautiful noble Quran. Losing my sense of touch would mean not getting to feel my moms hug or if I get hurt, I can’t feel it and might bleed to death.  This is why losing one of your 5 senses is horrible but if I were to lose one, I would lose my sense of taste.

Giving Up One of My 5 Senses

If I had to give up one of my senses it would be touch. I think all of my other senses are more important than touch. I would not be able to smell floors if I can’t then I will be very disappointed. Smell is like the extra umph to the food, it is what makes the food have flavored then there is no real point of eating other then getting sustenance and that make eating UN-enjoyable. Another reason why smell is important is because if I can’t smell then there is not point of wearing perfume. I would also not be able to enjoy fresh air, how the trees smell and the sweet light scent of the flower’s perfume. I won’t want to go to the ocean because I couldn’t smell the salt water or the sand. I would also miss smelling my mother’s cooking and how that means it’s time to eat.

If I couldn’t see then I would miss the sunset and that would be very depressing.  I also can see the wonders of nature, what nature can do of us and its astonishing beauty. But then again, I would also miss seeing how nature is when we abuse it and how it teaches us a lesion, not to mess with it, what it can do and how much we depend on it. I would also miss seeing the faces of my loved one (not including Jacky) I would also miss seeing pictures of loved one I lost. I would also miss seeing the thing that makes me sad. they have teach me a lesson, like: the place I fell that thought me a lesson about going with strangers or my grand father’s grave and how it reminds me that no one lives forever so we should live life to the fullest. I would also not be able to see what we can do for example: I would not see that we try to fix our environment and how we try to help each other. I would miss seeing horror movie and all the stashing and killing going. Sometime there are thing that are worth so much, that you have to see it to believe it,

Taste also to me is more important than touch because it is part of a religious thing like eating dumpling in Chinese New Year and I would miss that taste. It would also make me very sad and the reason for that is I show my affection is by eating and actually enjoy eating it, but if I can’t taste, then how do they know I appreciate their cooking. Plus they love to see my happy face when I eat their food and that makes them happy, very happy. If I can’t taste it then there would be no point of buying hot sues because everything would taste the same. Tasted is like sort of a warning that it is not going well or anything and if I can’t taste then there is no Singh that tells me to stop then that I will get sick. I would also miss the new taste of recipes and how they would taste like bad or good it taste, we can laugh about it later. What would it matter if we went to a five star restaurant everything would taste the same? Ill tell you what it would not matter because everything taste the same, it is like a panting with out color it is an unfinished painting.  I would also be very sad if I can’t taste sweet from salty.

I would be sad if I couldn’t hear the voice of my loved ones. I would also want to hear the rain fall the sound of the rain confers me it being back memories and the sound is very soothing. I want to hear thunder. I want to hear songs because they mean a lot to me and bring back memory and it is I a feel good drug it can change your mood in an instant and it is probably the best drug out there. I also want to her the sounds of animal and insects. I especially want to hear the wind because it is so calming. I also want to hear the sound of quiet and the sounds of breathing; it gives me comfort to know that people are alive.  I have to be able to hear the cry of my brother so I know what is wrong. I have to hear the sound of my mother voice calling me or I will miss something or get in trouble. I have to hear the bad things in order to hear the good things.

Senses, to me is the one that has the least that I like. The reason I don’t like touch is I do not want to be poked. I do not want to be kicked and I don’t want to feel pain.  It can also be an invasion of personal space. I also do not like to be touched because it is annoying. That is why I think touch is not as important as the other senses. But there are certain thing I would miss about it I would miss the feel of rain on my face. I would miss the wind blowing agents my face. I would also miss touching the snow in winter. I also would miss the felling hot and cold, and the feeling of rough soft smooth and bumpy. If I didn’t have even just on of my sense then it would be impossible to enjoy eating an apple in a hot summer day in and in while lying down in the shads.

Going to the Cricket Field

On Sunday May 24, Harvey’s was having a 50th Anniversary. For this celebration they were giving out free hamburgers from 10-3pm. So my family and my cousin went there and got a free burger and ordered some fries. Then went to Mac Donald’s and got a drink. Then after we got something to eat we went to the Cricket Field and watched the Cricket game. Stop!!!!!! Some of you might be thinking what is Cricket? Cricket is a game that was invented in the 16th century or maybe earlier. On each team they can have approximately 11 players. The game of Cricket is almost 3 hours long.  Now some or you might be thinking how do you play it? The idea of the game is to hit the ball as far as you can and you and your partner run back and forth until the ball comes back. At the end of a game who ever has the most runs wins. Sometime the game has to stop and be put off until the next day cause the team is getting so many runs that the other team doesn’t get a turn. Here is some advice if you ever see a Cricket ball flying your way. Run!!!!!! The reason why I’m tilling you to run is because a Cricket ball weigh’s between 5.5 and 5.75 ounces (155.9 and 163.0 g) for a men’s game. See that is a heavy ball! Now imagine one of those flying toward your head. This is all I’m going to tell you about the game of Cricket. If you want to find some more about this game go on www.google.ca and type in Cricket and you’ll see some more information.

The Rom

There are many museums in Toronto like the Rom (known as the Royal Ontario Museum). On Wednesday may 20th, my class went to the Rom for day and it was fun. We got there on the TTC bus and the subway. We got there a little late like around 10:15 cause in the morning some people didn’t got the changes right for the bus. When we got there we put our pack back in the hook thingy that they give us and started touring. The first thing we saw was the first people in Canada, it was very interesting because we saw paintings that the first people paint, boats and many more. The second thing we saw was the Chinese things like the culture and stuffs. They also show like how people wear in the past and how famous places look like long time ago. I learn lots of different stuff there that I didn’t know, even though I’m Chinese. The third place we saw we the animal thing, we saw many different kinds of animal even the one that aren’t in the world anymore. But the sad part was that all the animal in here were all dead even the ones that are still in the world. Then we went and saw a animal show, we saw a ringtail lemur, it was very cool and interesting watching how his leg go down so low and then jump so high the the other stand that they got for him to jump. Then when the show ended, the person that show us al those cool thing gives each one of us a card, each card have different animal and it give information of this animal. Then we went for lunch, we were kind of hungry and we have like 20 minutes to finish our lunch so we could get back to touring again. The fourth things we saw was the dinosaurs, it was the first time I saw a real dinosaurs in front of me.  The fifth place we went to the Egypt and we saw a mummy it was very cool we could see the toenail and the hand of the mummy. Then we went to the Greek area, it was very funny that make Mr. Borges went away from there and went to the next around. And the sixth thing we went was the South East Asian and the Africa it was kind of boring there. And the last thing we went was the bat cave it was very scary for me because it was very dark and scary!!!! My friends keep on scaring me but it was funny at the same time. This trip was very fun I hope next time, we could go again!
