Today blog is about cafeteria food and how it costs too much to buy food. Just a couple of days ago our school put taxes on what we buy at are cafeteria. Now it is too expensive to get anything and the food isn’t that great some of the thing aren’t even cooked right. Some of my friend and I decided to go to the mall to eat lunch if I wanted to get nasty food I’d go to McDonalds, KFC or Taco bell all for a better price. What does the school bored think we are were not adults we don’t carry around $80.00 every day to school with us. Or cafeteria does of food combos but the suck $5.00 for double cheese burger and a drink plus taxes yo there trying to tiff us of your money. I don’t know who’s big dume idea was this it could be the school bored or the government but I can tell you one thing I hate it. This is why I’ll be eating at the mall form now on and pay less money too. 

We are reading debates in our class from Scope Magazine and have to write about it.  This is what I think about toy guns. 

Most toy guns should be banned.  These Toy guns should be banned be because they could mistaken for real guns and if they are pointed at someone, they think it is real.  If this happened to a police officer they would be forced to shoot back.  Being shot for a fake gun is a waste your life for foolishness.  If you have a cap gun and you shoot it the noise from it sounds like a real gun and should be banned.  Paintball guns shouldn’t be banned if you have a proper place to play it in like a paintball field.  If you are running around the street with a paintball gun shooting things, then that would be wrong and could be very dangerous.  I don’t know why water guns should be banned because you are just shooting water at people.  Water guns are colorful and most of them are see-through.  BB guns are very dangerous because they go in your eye and make you blind and can even kill you if you shoot someone in the wrong place and that is just putting more killing in the world. Over 500,000 fake guns are flooding Britain and that is only in one port.  There are AK 47’s, Mac’s rifles and a lot of other types of guns.  In a school called La Cueva High School, someone was armed with a gun on the campus and the school was placed on a lock-down for several hours while police and swat teams searched the school.  Later on they found out that it was a fake weapon that caused all of the trouble.  A lot of people were fooled.  There are a lot of things that can happen with a toy gun and most of them are dangerous things and that is why most toy guns should be banned.

We go to a uniformed school and this is my argument against the dress code.

Why should kids wear uniforms?  That is so dumb.  What is the point of everybody wearing the same thing as everybody else and all your friends looking exactly like you?  Our whole school hates wearing uniform, even the students who you would think wouldn’t mind it.  There is no need for any type of dress code whatsoever because it makes kids feel like they’re being controlled and being told what to wear and how to wear it. 

Teachers have control over their students and get to tell them what to do anyway so its not fair if the get to have their say in what students wear.  The thing I hate the most about this is the excuse that when you ask the principal why we have to wear uniforms, it is always the same stupid line, “You have to wear uniform so everybody can be equal and it is for your safety”.  This argument is kind of silly because the students are more upset because they have to were uniform and may start taking it out on eachother.  That isnt’ safe, it’s the exact opposite.  Sometimes the dress code system does not make sense because if they say there looking out for our safety, then we should not have casual days where we can wear whatever we want.  They should be ban. 

Another reason school dress codes are stupid is that there is many styles of clothing in this world and there is many different groups of clothing.  People always say that Canada is the most multicultural place in the world, but how are the kids at a school going to be able to express themselves and educate people about their culture if they can’t wear their own stlyes of clothes?  Teachers will always try to make every student equal because I always hear the saying if everybody in the world looked a like it would be the most boring universe. 

Dress codes are really unnecessary because the way the whole dress code is put together doesn’t work.  We already have to sit and learn for six to eight hours and we barley get breaks and this is O.K.  But uniforms are too much and it is the meanest thing the teachers and school staff can do to us students.  Many of the students of my school think this and it’s not just me.  I hope you take this to hart.
